December 2013

The mission home looks beautiful at Christmas time!
There is something magical about New York City at Christmas!

We love our Mission Leadership Council. They are all wonderful young men and women who serve with all their hearts.
Zone Leaders, Sister training leaders, and District Leaders
Our assistants Elder Passmore and Elder Foley
Elder Kerr is called as a new Assistant to President Morgan

This December we had David Moffitt join us on a mini mission. He is a deaf young man from Newburgh, New York. Elder Moffit loved serving as an ASL missionary for a month. We loved having him with us, and he loved having a real missionary experience!
Elder Davenport, Elder Aston, Elder Marshall and Elder Moffit
We were pleased to have Elder Gifford Nielsen of the Seventy and his wife Wendy join us for dinner at the mission home. Elder Nielsen and his wife were kind enough to speak at the Westchester Stake fireside.
Transfers in December are always great. We hate to have our missionaries leave before Christmas; but we are so excited for them to return to their families for the holidays!
Sister Peterson, Elder Smith, Elder Satchwell, Elder Fabbi, Elder Holzer, Elder Foley, Elder Sims, Elder Ling, Sister Beer, Sister Martin, Elder Elliott, Elder World, and Elder Fuhriman
Temple outing and lunch at the Smith with the returning missionaries
President Morgan and Sister Peterson enjoying a little late night snack! Thanks for the ice cream Sister Peterson!
We were blessed to welcome 18 new missionaries to the NYNYN mission! We are excited for them to enjoy the first Christmas in the mission field!

We are so excited to have Elder Torgersen, Elder Cloward, Elder Hofheins, Elder Lopez Carpio, Elder Coburn, Elder Nielson, Elder Jessee, Elder Sorensen, Elder Snow, Elder Johnson, and Sister Udy, Sister Holdaway, Sister Hanson, Sister Hazelton, Sister Orme, Sister O'Rullian, Sister Rodriquez and Sister Nielson join our mission family. We were also thrilled to have Elder Cloward back after his knee surgery and Sister Hansen's return to us has been a great blessing! We love each and every one of our missionaries!

The couple missionaries in our mission and the adult single sisters and amazing! They lead, and guide, and help and look over each missionary. We LOVED having a Christmas pot luck at our home and we loved feeling of their special spirits.
We missed the Howes who were at the Army/Navy football game with the cadets. (GO ARMY!)
We also were missing the Eberhards, the McNarirys, the Browns, Sister Laycock and Sister Leslie. The weather was terrible today, but the company was fabulous!

Christmas Devotion 2013

We were so blessed to begin this Christmas season with all our mission together for an amazing Christmas Devotional and lunch. We have the most amazing talented young elders and sisters!!

Sister Beer wrote a beautiful program. Elder Murray arranged beautiful musical numbers. Sister Morgan read the Light of Christmas by Richard Paul Evans and President Morgan gave a heart felt talk about seeing ourselves as Heavenly Father sees us entitled, Do You See What I See. We LOVED that we were able to spend a part of this wonderful season together as a mission, singing, eating, and sharing the Christmas spirit with each other! Our hearts were filled to the brim with love for each of our missionaries! Our family feels so blessed to be a part of the work here in New York.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Our Fisher Family all put together 250 stockings for each missionary
Cute table decorations thanks to the Dargers for all their help
200 pounds of real mashed potatoes!!
Elder Bear is loving this! haha
